Every student deserves to explore futures that fit who they are.

Every Year 9 to 13 student gets ongoing, personalised career exploration, running alongside your careers team. Not a five-minute quiz, a real conversation that builds over time.

Free for every school. That’s not changing.

Nexties Classroom’s home screen: “Let’s see who you could become.”, with a “Meet your Future Selves” card, “Reveal what’s inside and your Layers become Future Selves, the versions of you worth exploring”, beside a pink wallet of Future Self cards.

Even the best-resourced schools can’t achieve this.

Your team’s day fills up fast: the ones who ask for help, the ones who are clearly struggling. But what about everyone else?

Every year group has ākonga quietly trying to figure it out on their own. Nexties gives every student a private, non-judgemental space to do that properly, and gives your team insight into what’s usually invisible.

Start with you

A few things you’re into, good at, or care about: that’s the raw material for everything else here. Add one and watch what it does.

Nexties is built in Aotearoa,
for our rangatahi.

Nexties Classroom was built to open doors, not close them. Every student gets a space to explore who they are and what’s out there, with the options getting sharper as they learn more about themselves. Not fixed early. Not shaped by what school they went to or what their family already knows.

We connect straight through to real next steps: our unis, polytechs, wānanga, apprenticeships and trades. Keeping doors open, for every rangatahi, is the whole point. It’s why this is free for every NZ school.

Not a five-minute quiz. A conversation that keeps building.

Students just chat with our AI, like a mate or a teacher. It builds a clear picture of who they are as a complex human being: not just what they’re into, but what motivates them, their inner strengths, their constraints.

  • Whole person view, not a standardised quiz result
  • Grows and adjusts as students learn more about themselves
  • Shows possible futures, not one predicted job
  • Matched to real NZ pathways: uni, polytech, wānanga, apprenticeships and trades

Useful to everyone on your team.

You’ve got a handful of hours a year with most of these kids, if that. Nexties Classroom keeps the conversation going in between, so when you sit down together, you’re not starting from scratch.

  • See the whole cohort, not just the ones who come to you
  • Real context before every 1:1, no blank page
  • Spot who’s engaged, who’s stalled, who hasn’t started

You don’t need to become a careers expert. Just a bit of insight into what a student’s curious about, so a check-in can actually go somewhere.

  • A light view of what your students are exploring
  • Something real to ask about, no extra prep
  • Never the private conversation, just the insight

When someone asks how you’re supporting every student’s future, not just the ones who show up to careers, this is what you point to. Every ākonga has an ongoing space to explore who they are, and your team can actually see it happening.

  • A genuine answer for the newsletter, enrolment evenings and the board
  • Visibility across the whole school, not held in one person’s head
  • Nothing walks out the door when a careers lead moves on
  • Free, always. That’s not changing.

Student privacy is front and centre.

The conversation stays closed. That’s the door we keep shut, on purpose. What your team sees is the signal: what they’re into, what they’re considering, who might need a chat. Nothing about a student is sold, and nothing leaves with them that they didn’t choose to keep.

Questions schools ask.

Is it really free?

Yes. The base tier is free for every NZ school, and it’s staying that way. There will be a Plus tier for schools wanting the deeper tools, at a fixed annual cost.

Will this replace our careers team?

No, and we wouldn’t want it to. You’re swamped enough already. We built this because you need the human in the loop, not instead of it.

Does it replace what we already use, like Career Central or CareerWise?

No. It sits alongside them. It’s the personalised, student-facing layer most schools don’t have yet.

Who can see my students’ data, and is it sold?

Never sold. The conversation stays private to the student. Your team sees the insight, not the raw chat.

Is it safe, given it’s AI talking to my students?

Yes. Strong guardrails for under-18s, and anything sensitive gets pushed straight to a real person, not handled by the AI.

What happens when our careers lead moves on?

The picture stays with the school, not with one person. A new lead can pick it up on day one.

What’s coming next?

We’re shaping what comes next with careers teams across Aotearoa, and there’s a seat at the table for yours. Our research and development is focused on three things: making Nexties Classroom more engaging for students, fitting it more closely into how you run careers, and using AI responsibly to give every student personal support, at scale.

  • More engaging for students

New ways to explore who they are and what’s out there, so students want to come back to it.

  • Built around how you run careers

Closer links with your careers programme, and features made for your team and the mahi you already do.

  • Personal support, at scale

Research into how AI can give every student guidance that fits them, with your team always in the loop.
